SPECTRUM
presented by UCSI Institute of Music and Kamerata KL
UCSI University Recital Hall - UCSI University, UCSI Heights, Jalan Puncak Menara Gading, Taman Connaught, Cheras, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Prepare to embark on an emotional journey like no other. Kamerata KL invites you to experience a concert that will take you through the full SPECTRUM of human emotions, from joy to sorrow and everything in between.
We will begin with the serene beauty of Bach’s widely-known Air, followed by a youthful and joyful divertimento, written by a 16-year old Mozart. The two pieces are then contrasted by two compositions of the 20th century: Barber’s archaic chant-like Adagio for Strings, as well as Shostakovich’s raw and violent portrait of the Dresden bombing in his Chamber Symphony, dedicated to the “victims of fascism and the war”.
Get your tickets and join us for a memorable evening of emotional rollercoaster, as we witness the impact of war has on the shift of musical aesthetics.
Tickets are available starting 14/8/2024. For group discounts, reach out to us on social media or via email. We look forward to seeing you!
